Description
Wharton’s Jelly- Returning Life with Wharton’s Jelly
Wharton’s Jelly is a minimally manipulated allograft derived from full term, post c-section umbilical cord Wharton’s Jelly tissue. Wharton’s Jelly is the gelatinous matrix found in the umbilical cord that surrounds the blood vessels.
Wharton’s Jelly is rich with cytokines, growth factors, exosomes, secretomes, mRNA, MSC’s along with hyaluronic acid. The tissue is manufactured at an FDA Certified Lab that is cGMP compliant with clean room processing and a fifteen year history! No radiation is used during processing and no animal reagents either.
Wharton’s Jelly tissue is well tolerated by recipients and does not provoke an immunologic reaction. Scientists call this being “immunologically privileged”. Providers use the product for structural support, cushioning, protection and cushioning which is consistent with homologous use.
Quality Assurance includes monitoring the biologic from donor screening all the way through storage. Wharton’s Jelly is processed from donated umbilical cords from full term deliveries. All donors are pre-screened and undergo comprehensive testing that includes:
- Behavioral risk assessment
- Physical assessment
- Donor medical history
- Communicable disease testing
- Infectious disease testing is performed at a certified laboratory in accordance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA) and 42 CFR part 493.
The allograft is supplied in 1cc and 2cc vials and the pricing is extremely affordable, which helps it fit right into your procedure pricing model.
